Did you know? Miami Beach’s coast is constantly eroding and requires expensive imports of sand from around the world to maintain its existence.

For Day 2, as the structure expands into a theater space, local artists and writers will tell new stories through performance, music, film, and readings of poetry and prose. These will be retellings of the past as well as potential futures and parallel universes, with the hope of building a collective present.

The interactive forum and performances will unfold inside of an art installation in Collins Park: 1000s of sandbags stacked into the construction of a Roman-inspired theater.
