Gather oceanside for an open-air concert featuring Grammy-nominated Argentine, jazz singer-songwriter Roxana Amed at the Sunday, October 15 installment of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, the Ocean Drive Association’s free weekly music series bringing music outside of the concert hall and into the community.

The concert takes place at Lummus Park, between 14th Street and 14th Place. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn. Showtime is at 6:00 PM.

Acclaimed jazz artist Roxana Amed blends South American folk music with rock and post-bop jazz to create her own stylistically diverse sound. Her albums Limbo (2004) and Entremundos (2006) with fellow Argentine instrumentalist Pedro Aznar received rave reviews. Following her move to Miami in 2013, Amed released the album La Sombra de Su Sombra in 2013, drawing inspiration fromt the poems of Alejandra Pizarnik.  Since 2021, Amed has released Ontology, nominated for 2 Latin Grammys including Best Jazz Album, followed by Unánime in 2022. Her most recent album Los Trabajos y las Noches (2023) also draws inspiration from Pizarnik’s writing.
