Dance Now! Freeze Frame Performance of Trapped! (running time 10 minutes) Dance NOW! Miami Co-Director Hannah Baumgarten takes audiences on a journey from fantasy through poetry to athleticism with a site-specific dance performance at the Morris’ (2010) Dan Graham Miami Beach Public Art Installation. A woman struggles desperately to escape a from her invisible confinement, sometimes withdrawing, other times slamming up against its walls. Eventually she discovers that with calm, she can simply walk out of her self-made prison. Original Music: Cliff Sutton, Marimba and Cajon. To be performed twice with live musical accompaniment guided by musical director Aleksandar Djuric with Production design by Bruce F. Brown.
