Join The Botanical Garden for a cocktail reception and meet artist George Rodez at the opening of his exhibition, Split Personality, on display in the Butterfly Gallery at the Garden.

George Rodez was born in New York in 1957. He began his career as a mechanical engineer, but art has been his passion since age thirteen. Since 1992 he’s dedicated himself solely to painting and carried out innumerable exhibitions in museums and galleries, both nationally and internationally. He is a self-taught artist whose strength is his diversity. With life experiences of a mother who suffered from dissociative mental disorder, Rodez observed that each personality had a different strength and function and fused this lesson into his art. He believes we should all share our many characteristics and emotions and states that“to live life is to feel all these emotions.”

Split Personality: The Art of George Rodez will be on display through October 29, 2022.
