Japanese Spring Festival

This one-day event celebrates all aspects of Japanese culture. 

This year we are pleased to announce he Consulate General of Japan in Miami will be presenting a sushi demonstration by Chef Sekita.

Activities throughout the day include:

• Taiko Drumming by Fushi Daiko
• Ikebana Floral Design Workshop
• Authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony
• Origami Lessons
• Children’s art corner and storytelling

Just in time for the festival, the Canal Park walkway between Washington Avenue and Convention Center Drive will be temporarily open to the public for the very first time in several years. From 10AM until 7PM, visit the Botanical Garden’s Japanese Spring Festival, the BASS Museum’s Free Family Day and the Free ArtScape Concert in Collins Park all on-foot!
