Come and explore the exciting process of reductive, multi-colored refile printing. This printing process uses the same linoleum block to print multiple colors of a single image. During this three-week course, students will be given step-by-step instructions on the designing, carving, registration, and printing of a reductive relief print.

Upon completion of this course, students will produce a series of editioned prints while also becoming familiar with techniques and processes associated with linoleum block printing. They will also learn the proper use of tools, how to mixing of colored inks, overlaying layers, and a variety of carving and mark-making techniques.

At the end of the 3 classes, students will collectively look at the work produced and discuss technical and conceptual successes, skills learned, and future goals.
