Curator Culture: Thread, Draw, Weave & Dream
April 14, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
$10A conversation with artist Sheila Hicks and architects Sharon Johnston & Mark Lee
Like silkworms and spiders, artists and architects build by threading, drawing, weaving, spinning and casting—shaping ideas into being. There’s the fabric of textiles and the fabric of building, but all of us are fabricators. We wrap ourselves in the fabric of stories that tell us who we are, where we’re going, and who we will become.
On Sunday, April 14 at 5 PM, join The Bass Museum in a conversation about questions large and small with one of its most celebrated textile artists and two of America’s most talked about young architects.
$10. Free for members. RSVP here.
