About: Hosted by Jorge, Board Member of the Rare Fruit Council International. Jorge will be discussing Florida’s tropical fruits and some rare treats with added historical tidbits. Jorge will also make connections to fruits & vegetables used by pioneer families as both food and agricultural crops in Miami’s early days. Come learn about papaya, guava, mango, Key limes, coconuts, mamey, canistel, lychees, longans & more delicious rare fruits at this unique program. After the talk join Jorge for a hands on workshop and mango tasting.
