The Cultural Arts Program within the Department of Tourism and Culture serves as an invaluable resource for the Miami Beach community and beyond. Working closely with the Cultural Arts Council, the advisory board which was founded in 1997, the Cultural Arts Program sustains, develops, and supports the arts in Miami Beach for the enjoyment, education, enrichment, and benefit of residents, and visitors.

The City of Miami Beach is proud to support cultural programing. Since 1997, the City of Miami Beach has awarded approximately $19 million to over 100 nonprofit arts groups through an annual, competitive cultural grants program. In September 2023, the City Commission supported to increase the budget of Cultural Arts Council funding from $850,000 to $1.05 million for the FY 23/24 cycle and the future.
