Who Will Write Our History: A Conversation with Director Roberta Grossman

Join Roberta Grossman, writer, director and producer of the documentary, Who Will Write Our History for a discussion about her film, the creative process and the importance this film has in Holocaust history. Who Will Write Our History reveals the bravery of a secret band of journalists, scholars and community leaders in the Warsaw Ghetto, led by historian Emanuel Ringelblum, who decided to fight back, vowing to defeat Nazi lies and propaganda with pen and paper by creating an archive of the truth.

Moderated by Sharon Horowitz, Executive Director, Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach.

Roberta Grossman is the writer, producer and director of four documentaries about Jewish history and culture as well as films about women’s rights and Native American contemporary struggles. She is the co-founder of the nonprofit production company Katahdin Productions and is a three-time recipient of National Endowment for the Arts Grants. She speaks to students and communities about Jewish and documentary film making as a tool for social justice.

Sharon Horowitz is the Executive Director of the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach. A founder of the March of the Living in South Florida, she has created the International March of the Living curriculum and led thousands of students and adults through the concentration camps in Eastern Europe.
