Somatic Discovery & Conversations
with Jodi Carey & Veronica Marquez
A journey of compassionate communication, somatic awareness, sound healing, & breath-centered yoga. Join community leaders in wellness and empowerment, Jodi & Veronica in the magical sanctuary of the botanical gardens as they guide you through a journey of compassionate communication, somatic awareness, sound healing, & breath-centered yoga for a transformative morning of self-discovery.
You will learn a process that can help you get to the root of your triggers in conversations and how to use somatic techniques, movement, and self-regulation to create deeper safety within your body. We will have a sit down with sips and lite bites for an open conversation and intimate sharing to make for a well-rounded, integrated experience for all.
Doors open at 5:30pm. Class will begin at 6pm under the covered terrace next to the large ballroom. If it is raining too much, we will move into the large ballroom. Garden gates will close at 6:10pm.
Parking is available at Miami Beach City Hall, Lincoln Road Mall Parking, and if you are lucky, right next to the garden.

Along with her colleagues she help implement a yoga program for the Trauma Research Foundation. Her team presented at the Annual Trauma Conference of Boston along side pioneers in the field of Neuroscience, Trauma and the Body. This project went to Camp Leguene, where trauma-sensitive yoga was first introduced to the Marines in 2007. As pioneers in the healing of yoga and post-traumatic stress, this work was shared in the best selling New York Times publication, “The Body Keeps the Score,” by Dr. Bessel Vanderkolk, M.D. Jodi has been highly respected as a teacher of teachers in Miami for her hands-on practical applications to healing as well as her intuitive counseling. Jodi has helped hundreds of clients of all ages and status move more gracefully through the more rocky moments of life.
